Discover Asia And The Land Of The Komodo Dragon With Star Clippers From December 2016

Star Clippers is returning to Asia in 2016 with their famous itineraries to take the savvy traveller off the beaten track. Star Clippers will take you to a hidden corner of the Orient that adventurous travellers treasure for its unspoiled beaches and dream-like natural beauty. Sailing from Phuket in Thailand, explore the pristine white sands of the islands and little ports of the Andaman Sea and Phang Nga Bay and continue along the western coast of Malaysia, via Penang or Langkawi, to Malacca, known as the ‘City of Dreams’ and also the oldest city in Malaysia, before reaching cosmopolitan and immaculate Singapore.

In April 2017, Star Clippers will visit islands of the Indonesian archipelago from Bali, with a highlight of many of the cruises being a visit to Komodo to see the rare Komodo dragon which is only found on five islands in the world. Komodo dragons can reach three metres in length and come in a variety of colours including blue, orange, green and grey. Also on many itineraries is the dramatic volcanic scenery at Mount Bromo, the crater lake of Satonda, the spectacular site of 9th-century Borobudur Temple in Central Java, the unique traditional Retenggaro village on Sumba Island, and the beautiful corals and sandy beaches of the Gili Island.

The people here are friendly and their smiles are genuine. The clarity of the water and the variety of marine life are amazing as many of these exquisite islands and surrounding waters are designated national parks, preserved forever to explore and enjoy. If you wish to relax, swim, snorkel or just curl your toes in the warm sand, Star Clippers.

Ten night itineraries round trip Bali to Bali start from $4,150 and include all meals, most beverages, all accommodation on a truly comfortable tall ship and much more.
